How do I setup Apsona Scheduler?

Our Scheduler tool requires some extra steps and considerations during setup.

Setting up Scheduler in your Production environment:

  • After installing Scheduler, follow these instructions to enable the tool in your org. You'll know that Scheduler is enabled when you see the green light shown in the support article.
  • Send an email to our Purchasing Team at sales@apsona.com letting them know that you installed Scheduler. Please provide your Org ID so they can create the correct internal records for Scheduler to work in your org.

Setting up Scheduler in a Sandbox environment:

  • If you are creating a sandbox from a production org that Scheduler is already installed in, then Scheduler will already be installed in the new sandbox.
  • If not, you'll have to install the tool in the sandbox from this same link.
  • You must take the same steps in these instructions to enable Scheduler in the sandbox. Your username is different in a sandbox as compared to production so be sure to use your sandbox credentials when enabling Scheduler.
  • You must still send an email to our Purchasing Team at sales@apsona.com, and provide them the sandbox Org ID. The Purchasing Team needs to create the internal records for every environment that you install Scheduler into.
  • If your sandbox is new you may have to take a few extra steps to ensure that Scheduler can work as expected. See this Knowledge Article that discusses general setup steps needed in sandboxes, especially helpful to ensure emails can be sent from and received from Salesforce.

Other Considerations:

  • After setting up Scheduler be sure to clear your Apsona cache to see the changes take effect.
  • If other users in your org also need to use Scheduler, they must take the enabling steps to generate the green light in the Scheduler tab.
  • Please also confirm that the appropriate users' profiles or permission sets have full read/write access to the two Scheduler objects; Apsona Schedule (API name apsona_sched__Schedule__c) and Apsona Schedule Run Result (API name apsona_sched__Schedule_Run_Result__c), as well as all of their fields.
  • Additionally, each user who uses the scheduler should have their email delivery provider set to Salesforce in their personal settings.
