If you are getting different or fewer results in Apsona than a Salesforce report with the same filter, here are some things to look at:
- Do you have the Record Range of your report set to a low number? The default is 1-100000 records. If you set the upper limit to a lower number, Apsona may not return all of the records that it could have found in Salesforce.
- Some Apsona filters are designed slightly different than similar Salesforce filters. For example: "Contains" vs "Contains any of"
- In Salesforce, "Contains" allows for a comma separated list of values
- In Apsona, "Contains" treats all text (including commas and other special characters) as a single value for the query
- In Apsona, "Contains any of" behaves more similarly to Salesforce, and allows for many values from a comma separated list.
- In Apsona, you can also use "is among" to search for many values at once. With this filter you can copy and paste several cells from a spreadsheet and Apsona will look for any of the values from any of those copied cells
- Does your filter include a picklist? There may be inactive picklist values in the filter. There is a known issue where Apsona does not have access to inactive filters so it does not return records that have those inactive picklist values included.
