Why do non-admin users see an “OAuth Error” when trying to enable the Apsona Scheduler, even though the admin can enable it successfully?

This issue occurs due to Salesforce’s updated security policies (Sept 2025), which restrict users from authenticating with connected apps that have not been explicitly approved or installed by an administrator.

When non-admin users attempt to enable the Apsona Scheduler, Salesforce blocks the OAuth authentication process, resulting in the error:
OAUTH_APPROVAL_ERROR_GENERIC: An unexpected error has occurred during authentication.

Resolution:
In Salesforce, go to Setup → Quick Find → Connected Apps OAuth Usage.

Locate Apsona for Salesforce.

Click “Install” or “Approve for All Users.”

Once approved by the admin, all users will be able to enable the Apsona Scheduler without encountering the OAuth error.
