- When I opened the resulting document, I had to enter the password (Apsona12172025) to view it. However, once opened, I could enter edit mode and make changes. This does not fulfill the Canada Revenue Agency requirement for charitable tax receipts to be uneditable documents.
When trialing encrypting receipts with Adobe PDF editor, we had to enter one password to view & print and a different password to make changes. We only shared the view password with the donor (the pain point was doing each document individually, which is why we were excited your new feature might work for batches).
- The password is NOT customizable. Is that an enhancement you plan to introduce at some point? We issue 500+ charitable tax receipts a year and would like a password format more personalized for each donor, e.g., "Donor Name Donation Year."
