Apsona works with any standard or custom object and any 3rd party managed package. Apsona is an excellent solution for data management, reporting, and document generation within Education Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud, Financial Cloud, or any other Salesforce Cloud. In fact, due to the complex data models and relationships within these industry-specific solutions (ie: Person Accounts, Gift Transaction Designations, etc.), Apsona may be the only tool that can effectively report on the seemingly disconnected objects that are necessary to understand your customers and data. Here are some considerations as you consider how to use Apsona within these various clouds:
- Apsona does not make managed package or custom objects visible by default. Make sure that the objects necessary to do your work are included in your users' Apsona Configurations.
- Person Accounts are often enabled in these industry-specific clouds. If you want to be able to dedupe Person Accounts, see our Show Me How video and this article on this topic
- One of the main use cases for our Document and Email Merge Tool is generating documents that list donations or transactions under a single Household or Company, for example an End-Of-Year Tax Letter. This can be difficult with Person Accounts since there is no direct relationship between Individual gifts and their Household Account. This quickstart video shows how you can use Apsona's powerful suite of tools to generate letters like this.
- If you are migrating from NPSP to NPC you are required to move to a completely new Salesforce instance. Due to the different objects used between the two tools, you will most likely need to recreate many of your existing Apsona items for the new objects. But for any Apsona Items that can remain consistent between the two Salesforce instances, this video shows a simple way to deploy Apsona items from one org to another.
- If you are an NPSP org that uses Apsona's Batch Gift Entry tool and you are migrating to NPC, see this article
