Sometimes you need to edit the merge action behind a record page merge button. When looking at a merge button it's not obvious what merge action is feeding it. This video shows you how to find the merge action behind a button so that you can then edit the merge action.

Steps to Identify the merge action behind the merge button:

  1. Run the merge button. This will reveal information about the merge action and data source

  2. Visit the data source from the Apsona tab
  3. Click the merge button and choose to run an existing merge
  4. Edit the merge action once chosen
  5. Once saved the button will automatically reflect the updated merge action
