How can I make URL fields render as clickable hyperlinks in my Apsona document merge template instead of plain text?

By default, URL fields merged into a Word document display only as plain text. To make them clickable, you need to format the template using Word’s hyperlink field codes, so the URL is embedded as a link rather than raw text.

Default Behavior: Merged URL fields appear as non-clickable text.

Solution: Use Insert → Hyperlink → Field codes in Word, and insert the merge field inside the hyperlink structure.

Result: When the document is generated, the URL functions as an active hyperlink, allowing direct click-through access instead of requiring copy-paste.
